Deja vu, all over again

Almost exactly three years ago, I came across some Bobby Blue Malabrigo Merino.  There were probably only four or five skeins, but I snapped them all up because the color was just gorgeous.  After I got home, I realized there was not nearly enough to make a sweater for me, but, if I was lucky, I could make one for the older daughter.  Three days later, I presented her with Ingenue, from Wendy Bernard's Custom Knits:

To be honest, Sweet One was okay with the sweater, but it was not a favorite.  So, it languished for a while, then last year Wee One discovered it.  The fit and color were gorgeous on her.

Last week, I asked to borrow the pullover for a sweater class I was teaching.  When I pulled it out of her closet, she told me it was her favorite one and she would *love* another one in pink.

What?

One of my children actually requested a sweater!!

She had my undivided attention.

"Okay," I said, "Let's find some pink yarn, and I will make you another one."

And, I did.

This is a very quick knit.

The yarn we found was Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted.  The color was great, but the yarn is nothing like Malabrigo.  It is more like a thin Cascade 220, but not as soft.  Yeah, I know, Cascade is not that soft.

But, she liked the color and said it was not too itchy.

The only caveat to the pattern is that if knit as written, it is very short.  I added four inches to the pink one, and it could still be another inch or two longer.  Fortunately, she wears camis under most everything.

Mom is hero for a day...maybe, if I am lucky!

I think that is a classy sweater. I must look into it for my DIL. Trying to decide what to knit next for her. Your girls are beautiful and I did not even recognize Wee in the top one. :)
